Today, there are more opportunities then ever before to make money online. One of the most popular ways is to create and sell products online. With the assistance of auction sites such as ebay, and the prevalence of online Internet stores, selling products online has never been easier. Your first step in beginning this new career move will be in determining what type of products you would like to sell. This is where your imagination and creativity will flow. You may find that your best ideas come from choosing a product that is closely related to one of your favorite hobbies. This is often a great way that people begin new businesses, and by choosing to create a product from a topic that you are already knowledgeable about, helps you to develop products that you are an expert on.
Some people may find that creating a tangible product or item and selling it online through their own personal website or an auction site is their best marketing method. Examples of these types of products include selling homemade crafts, toys, or other items and products that you have personally created. This is a simple way to come up with the idea of products to sell, and is also a great way to test a new product’s sale potential.
If you like to create items, but don’t necessarily want to invest the time in creating a steady batch of inventory, many people are discovering that selling patterns is highly profitable. For those who often create their own products, you may find that selling the patterns or plans (such as woodworking plans) may be even more profitable than selling the item itself.
For those who aren’t necessarily crafty, finding products to sell online is still a great option and there are plenty of choices available to choose from. If you are an expert on a niche topic, (ex. cars, woodworking, sewing, cooking) you may find that creating an Ebook is a great product to sell. You don’t have to be a writer to create an Ebook, either. Ghostwriters are professional writers who will write Ebooks, articles, press releases, etc. for you and give you all rights to the written material. With your own niche specific E-book, you can sell your book online and keep all of the profits.
Finally, another way to find virtually countless of products to sell online is through affiliate marketing. By becoming an affiliate, you can sell thousands of products that you earn a commission on. This is a great option for those who wish to sell online but don’t know what type of product to sell. You can set up E-stores and sell affiliate products worldwide. Another option is to contact local businesses and strike a partnership where you sell their products through your online ventures: website, auction sites, E-stores, etc. If you have a local company with a product that you believe in, becoming an E-distributor has many rewards, especially if you find a market that has previously been untapped. With all of the options and choices available today, creating and selling products online is a profitable dream that everyone can achieve.

What do I need to start an online clothing store?
I am interested in starting a plus-sized clothing store. I don’t have much starting money, so I’ve decided to go the online route in selling my products. I plan to design and make my own clothes, and before I even create my own website I plan to sell them on eBay, mostly to test the waters and see if anyone would buy them at all (plus this would give me the opportunity to decide on how much to sell them at and how I would pimp/market/describe them).
I know what I would need to make them, such as a sewing machine, cutting machine, and a press. I also have an idea of what type of fabric I would be working with and who I would be buying from. I plan to use paypal to process money coming in and use UPS for shipping.
I also know that with a physical store I would need a vendor’s license and a number of other documents, but what sort of documentation would I need, if any, for a virtual store? If anyone has tips or pointers or to share, please pass it along and thanks in advance.
